Kids Programs
All kids programs are taught by certified art teachers from Keller ISD!
This is a drop-off program — parents are welcome to drop off and pick up, giving students independent studio time to focus and create.
No cutesy crafts here. Wheelcraft Studio kids programs focus on teaching real artistic skills, nurturing their creative ideas, and developing artist’s studio habits.
Meets weekly, August 17–December 18 (with breaks for fall break and Thanksgiving week). You will pay a prorated rate for the last half of August when you sign up, then be billed the first of every month through December.

Young Potters (Ages 10–18)
Clay is challenging and endlessly rewarding — and that's exactly why we teach it. Students learn to plan and execute a project from start to finish, test the limits of their imaginations, and build grit through the inevitable failures that come with working in clay. Young Potters is an ongoing extra-curricular program built entirely around clay: students learn both wheel-throwing and hand-building, working session after session to develop real technical skill rather than knocking out a quick craft. From functional mugs and bowls to sculptural and expressive pieces, students shape, trim, and glaze everything themselves. Every piece is fired to be useful — food-safe, dishwasher and microwave safe, and made to be lived with, not just displayed.

Teen Makers (Ages 12–18)
This isn't a craft class — it's serious studio time. Teen Makers is an ongoing extra-curricular program where students dive deep into one art medium at a time, spending multiple weeks (not a single session) exploring a medium's full range before moving on to the next. Drawing, painting, mixed media, printmaking, fiber arts — each medium gets the time and depth it deserves, with open-ended prompts that let students develop their own ideas, voice, and style rather than following a set project to a predetermined finish.

Young Makers (Ages 6-12)
Every week is a new adventure in this ongoing after-school art class! Young Makers will explore a rotating lineup of real art mediums and techniques — drawing, painting, ceramics, fiber arts, and more — building genuine skills one session at a time. Each week brings a fresh challenge: new materials, new techniques, new ideas to experiment with.
